Hi Quakers

I get the impression that there are still players around but they can never seem to be able to find each other online to get a game, and when one gets a game the skill levels are often so mismatched that it tends to end in a matter of minutes. I wonder if enough players would be interested in have a regular Quake get together. As mentioned in a thread over on QuakeOne.com one suggestion was to have just a couple of hours at an agreed time on perhaps the first Saturday of each month to see if there's some life left in the online multiplayer side of this cherished old game. rev said that he was up for this but is there anyone else interested?

Just wanted to say a little thank you to OG, Powerbiltx and Sarah for a fun and good natured game on Saturday morning. 150+ ping for me, and some 90-100 spikes for Sarah but still fun. There was also a player called "rusty" alittle later who appeared to be getting back in to the game but unfortunately I had to go and didn't see how the he/she turned out in the game.

Well, thank you very much. It's always fun to have a serious (but not too serious) game where everyone can joke around but still wants to win the level.

By the way, this is my first post here after lurking silently for more than 10 years! Jump on the servers, say hi to your fellow enemies, and have a good time!

Congratulations on your first post OG!
As I'm 5-7 hours ahead of the US, timing (and my 150 ms ping on Shmack) could be an issue for me but as long as I'm free I'll pop along for some good natured, not too serious, Saturday fun.

P.S. By the way, thanks for providing the in-game entertainment with your exploding frozen beer "caberet"
