Hello again,

I was just trying out your runequake server (schmack.net) with the Darkplaces engine and upon joining I was being flooded with unknown command errors.



I'm not sure what is wrong but I'd like to be able to play using this engine. It seems to be the only one that I get the quake CD music playing off my HD while also using the retexture pack from the Quake Retexture Project.

The imagery and the mood this engine provides is superior to any other client I've tried so far. And hasn't crashed on me yet unlike some of the others.

Any ideas of what I may be missing?

I've played on Shmack several times with DarkPlaces and it worked.

I'd recommend you using a previous version of DarkPlaces, like a 2008 stable release and notifying the author of the problem. DarkPlaces did not have this problem in the past. I bet this version works fine: http://icculus.org/twilight/darkplaces/ ... 080808.zip

I tried the 20080808 release on schmack.net and played over an hour without issues.
