I understand from EZ Jack, BulaBot that there is a tourney this Saturday.

I cannot find a schedule of times and combatants nor the server, but it is late.

Sign me up if not too late.

Hey fire. There is indeed a tourny this coming Sat. It's at 5pm EST. The ip for the server is newyork.quakeone.com and you can download the maps (if you don't use proquake or proquake auto downloader doesn't work) at quakeone.com

I think you may need to send some sort of e-mail to someone to sign up, and I think there is a link to do that as well at quakeone.com

Hope to see you in the tourny! :D

There is indeed a Tourney on Saturday 19th July. There is also a post in this very thread (see Sun Jun 29, 2014 7:14 am) that gives you the times, a list of comabatants, map details, download link, and much more besides.

I will add you to the signup list on the aforementioned post which is mirrored on QuakeOne.com.
Kind regards

NOT!!!! Just lazy.

Look forward to seeing you all'z on the battlefield.

Hey guys,
Just a quick heads up, not sure what level it is but maybe Dee will confirm which one, one were playing in the tourney.
It happen to us both on 2 different days while playing, hooking down towards the floor and got stuck underneath the floor, still alive but no way of getting out until rebooting game?
Cheers, EzJacK

Message received, and just to explain it further there appears to be a small hole in the GenDM1 map which could cause a player to become trapped and have to lose frags in order to rejoin. If a player would hook to the location below they could literally fall through the map..

Well done on finding the map bug, guys. :)
Although it was not an obvious bug we want to make sure that nobody is caught out by it during the tournament and so the Gendm1 map has been withdrawn and replaced with Cleaver

The Tourny info posting has also been updated so everyone knows whats happening. This has also been replicated to the sister posting Quakeone.com

Kind regards

Cheers!

Hey burns. Its not really a big deal, but my name in quake is Sgt-PieFace, not Sgt.Pieface. I don't care really, but the name may have an effect if there's a whitelist. Thanks.

Hey Burns, I don't know if you are aware of this, but there are a couple little things that are slightly off about the server, as in the differentiate from shmack.
The hook seems to do quite a lot of damage, gravity wells and tornadoes seem very powerful, and rune of athletics give you UBER speed. No big deal, just thought I'd let you know. Happy quaking!

I know some players were chomping at the bit to find out the results, so after having a little sleep I've updated my notes on the EuroQuake Damage server to incorporate some of the info Polarite very kindly supplied and add a few more facts and figures for posterity and those that like their stats. I'm currently trying to make a little time to convert those demos in to a basic video and will post back on the Damage site when it's complete.

I'd like to thank and commend all of those that played and send my congratulations to Sole for a truly great win. I hope all that took part enjoyed it, including the spectators, and hope that you enjoyed it enough for us to organise another FFA2RQ in the near future.

I would also like to thank Painkiller, Dee and EZ for their help and support, Peg for.. well.. [where do I start?] let's just say just about everything :) ...and last but by no means least Polarite for his generosity of spirit, understanding, and good natured support without whom the excellent server and this event would not have existed.

Oh, and for those that also play FFA / DM.... Be afraid, be very afraid, the FFA10 tourney is coming!! :)

Kind regards

Monty
