Well I started using quakeone's website to get server status. I'll sometimes join for 15 minutes and idle to see if somebody else comes on. Even if they do-- they see my name then immediately leave :-p |

Hi Sara As I hope you know, for me it depends on who is playing (especially with my ping). People like EZ, PK, Zop, Saz, yourself and sometimes Davers can be quite sporting, are usually good company and even let me get a frag or 2  So if I spot them either on the Quakeone,com server list or inside Proquake using Polarite's In-game-server query script then I'll pop along and join the fun. Unfortunately (for me) there are a few players that tend to fall in to either the camp and spam the map category, or the dominate to the point at which I'm exploding every few nanoseconds category. Neither category holds any real value for me so I tend to let them have their fun and go and do something more enjoyable like play RQuake at NYC or code something until they have had their fill. Still, don't let me put anyone off, I will still be there as RuneQuake can be great fun and long live Shmack! Kind regards Monty |

Yes I think that people that can't play or are busy just talk on quakeone Im still struggling with my scheduling  but I will be on one of these days. Davers made a similar post on quakeone and my advice was to anyone looking for a game is to linger a bit on the server and more might come

Yeah-- I refresh the server list from quakeone.com see 0 players and find something else to do. I'm anxious to play as well-- sometimes I join then minimize it. Forget I was connected to find players that came and went
