Post subject:  Please update Gamespy 3D server list as IP's change
Hi all

I use Gamespy 3D for my list of servers and to launch into games as well as ping my favorites to see where everyone is. I have a long list of dead servers and every so often I wonder where everyone is...Has Q1 runes been abandoned I fear? No, it's just new IP's. I imagaine there are other Gamespy types who expect it to be up to date and so assume Q1 is dead. So please Diazolid or Slot Zero or whoever does these things please let Gamespy know.

As servers come and go.. I've learned to use their .com or .net instead of their ip's..

ie:
Quake.shmack.net
Quake.essentrix.net
etc.

also.... in my alias is the same format so to move from one server to another I drop console and type.. shmack,dz,wido,etc.. makes life a whole lot easier!!!

I'm sure they would be more then happy to create a list of their addresses so that you can just add the servers that way to your gamespy? There are lists but not all are active and they might not all be listed.

Gameaholic is the only source that works for Gamespy 3D. Make sure you update and refresh for all sources.

And be sure to grab the Rune Quake Gamespy 3D Tab from the downloads page.

Using the DNS is a good suggestion. There is also another good source right on this site.

Check the top 2 lines, Live Server Status and With Player Names.
