Deadzone is now running RuneQuake 0.8 with custom player models, new sounds, new runes and 14 very cool new maps! In order to play at Deadzone, you'll need to download and install a pak file which contains our new models, sounds, sprites and rune models, a new player model file and our 14 custom maps. You can nab all of these from the Deadzone message forums. All files are in self-extracting format and setup is a breeze. You'll find the links to these files at the top of the main page as well as detailed instructions on how to install them here. Hope to see you there! |

Check out the server, especially if you love Quake but have grown a bit tired of the monotonous sounds, models and maps. They're a helpful bunch over there so if you have a problem with the install process, leave a post at Deaadzone. The install is pretty straight forward, but if your uneasy about it, make a back up of your Quake directory. -- toyo |
