"everytime I turn quake off it crashes my computer, i have to restart." You'll have to give us a little more information. Do you see any error messages? Does the computer freeze, become unstable or shut off by itself? "2nd, if i get wqpro will me and my friend be able to play coopertive play and not dethmatch." At least one computer has to be the server and it is that server that determines the game type, not the client. So, yes, you can play cooperative w/ wqpro. toyo |

It maybe a display repaint problem. Try decreasing the hardware acceleration. I forget how to get there in Windows 98, but you should be able to access it from the control panel. toyo |

How Windows update? I think I've had this problem before and I can't remember how I resolved it, unless it was one of those times I reinstalled Windows. But try the normal version of Quake (Non-gl) and see if that one crashes. Then start using the GL clients. |
