Thank you for the history lesson. I now understand your reasons for makng that decision, and would probably have made the same decision at the time...

I know, but I wish to use a different compiler to the ones that are recommended (for various different reasons), so I will at some point have to remove them. What I can't tell yet, is if they are there for a particular reason, or just because the compiler of choice at the time made them available.
