The shield rune should protect you from being weirded while it is activated. Also when someone has the shield protect on and you stick them with sticky bombs, shouldn't the bombs actually stick to them instead of being left in mid-air stuck to nothing? Maybe not receive the initial damage that you get when stuck with a sticky, but still left with a sticky.

When I get grappled by a shield rune carrier and they activate their shield, I quickly realize that I am doomed, but I would at least like to leave them a gift before death. :)

Is the hanging in the air the odd part? That is the same effect for spawnshielded players, so should it be different for them?

No, spawn shield should protect your from everything including weirding too. The spawn shiled is there to protect a newly spawned characted from becoming attacked. Giving them a chance to do something besides being fodder.

I know I wish spawn shields/shield rune protected from being weirded out.

Don't you think that rune of shielding is too powerful and that having it react to weirdness was a good thing?

Spawn shield should protect you from everything. Bar-nun!

The shield rune should protect you from damage, weirding, ice, and death spots. I think that it is ok to get caught in glue traps, pickup anti-paks, and catch on fire while shielded (but not damaged until it turns off.) Sticky bombs should stick to you, but offer no damage if your shield is on. If I stick a bomb to you while you are unshielded, then you can turn it on at the right moment and protect yourself.

I do believe that the shield rune is powerful (especially in a one on one bout), but I have offered a trade off. Allow sticky bombs to stick to the rune carrier when the shield is active, rather than being left mid air somewhere.

This was when you are backed in a corner and/or the rune carrier has you grappled, leave him covered in sticky bombs and bitch slap him back. This does two things, it empties your pack so he has less ammo to deal with and it may very well kill him and return my unfair frag back to me.
