IEEE and I were talking about Starting modifications to quake from scratch. And he mentioned that the best way to start a new mod is to use the runequake Source And take out the RuneQuake Elements. (Im wondering how Slot feels about this).
I agree with IEEE. The runequake source is a good source to use for a modification. So why hasnt or doesnt anybody release a runequake source code without the runequake elements? Slot, Would you aprove of this. I think It should still Say runequake V1.0.

Rune Quake is released under the GNU General Public License. For more information, visit

I started working on this about year ago, but its priority isn't very high on my Todo list.

You might also want to visit the Quake Info Pool,

Check out the "Ultimate Regular Quake Patch" (URQP) by Maddes, which puts to work all of the fixes listed on the site.

Tho some say I take the Quake out of Rune Quake, but then I'm not a big deathmatch fan so I can understand and agree.

heh, i suck at DM.

i've always prefered co-op or at least teams, could someone make a runequake mod what can be used in co-op? (like, you and a mate and a few runes vs all the monsters in the various levels.)

i have recently started tinkering with code and want to try and make my own runes, would it be hard for a novice like me to make a mod like the one suggested above?
