Post subject:  Press 5 for Rider players
Hey, at shmack, I connect and press 5 to ride a player.. (dunno how to switch players) so i press 5 again, then again, then again then OMG! im now in the game?! Please, is this a bug?? or is pressing 5 thrice something not allowed?
Also, can there be a command to get back to observer or do i have to wait until im dead and press 4? Ugh, please can we have a centerprint or something when im dead (press 4 to goto observer or jump to respawn?) sorry, dont wanna be a pest just im trying to learn this! Oh, slot btw, your the QC encarnate of T. Edison! :P

Hmmm ... I've not seen this but I'll try to replicate it.

[But this reminds me of something. Fast track mode? High track mode? I've never quite understood what I need to do to ride a player, particularly the top player without it switching to a different player when someone new takes.

What if I want to ride Player X regardless of whether or not he falls from the lead or the high frag rate?]

I connected to quake.shmack.net:26000 and pressed 5 numerous times and never ended up in the game. Was this on port 26001 RA?

ok yes if i spam 4 then 5..4..5.4.5.... it puts me in the game
noimonly saying that as a newbie runequaker, after the menu goes bye bye, im pressing 4 and 5 or 4 4 4 4 4 4 55555 in frustration
but only thos keys!
and it puts me in the game
how dunno just tell you as a newbie......

I wasn't able to produce this oddity. I even tried playing track and field with the four and five keys. Are your number keys bound directly to impulses or do you use a set of aliases? Are you pressing them together? Maybe your keyboard acts as if 2 is pressed when 4 and 5 are held down together.
