Went to my local best buy today and asked if they have Quake on hand.. the kid had no idea what I was talking about.. understandable knowing that he was probably in diapers when the game came out.

How do I get Quake1? I can't believe this game is still running. I've been playing Everquest2 and some Quake3 lately.

Will my computer run this game.. specs..

4000 64 processor
4 gig ddr ram
256 ddr3 video ram
200 GB HD.. big enuff?

When you get it, make sure you try proquake or joequake, which are improved versions of the engine. Then come by for a game: http://www.runequake.com/servers

As for your setup, it looks great, but to really run smooth you should probably get one of those new 512MB ati cards

The shareware version of Quake can be downloaded at http://www.quake1dm.com and you can probably take it from there.
