The DeadZone server might be pulling the plug on the mod and switching to something else.
If so, that'd be a shame.
Like the usual for Quake, there is some sort of server vs. mod author thing going on there. You know, like there always has to be some sort of bullshit going on to ruin Quake. Just the usual, you know.
Anyway, if you've never played there or experienced that insanely inventive mod, this might be your last chance.
The mod was written by Painkiller. If it weren't for human drama, he would have received a gold medal for his work.
The mod features custom models, custom maps, damage based player models and some excellent custom sounds.
The mod has long been plagued by a weird set of 6 installers (yes, six), and the usual Quake "let's figure out some way to manage to fuck up a good thing" stuff, you know, the usual.
Anyway, the server hosting it is rock solid and due to these events, I took the time to make one TKO of a installer for it.
