Recently i've been reading all these exciting new changes and servers over at quakeone.com but after some investigation i feel as tho Quake is coming to an end. A couple of my favourite sites have closed down or not being updated anymore (Quake Terminus, RetroQuake, TeamShambler etc.) and i keep looking at server lists but nobody is playing! i've always wanted to get some CTF action but instead theres either hardly anyone playing or theres only a few servers which are mostly runequake and rocket arena. Or am i mistaken? because Im in the UK and I assume most players are in the U.S leaving a 5 hour Gap but still when i go on in the evening theres not that much action :o

Well, TeamShambler was closed in 2001 if that makes you feel any better. Heheh :D Go to the Underworld Fan site at http://underworld.planetquake.gamespy.com or to http://www.celephais.net/board

Quake is alive and well, especially on the single player side of things.

There were 41 players on in the evening at one point on Tuesday, and it hits 30+ fairly regularly, all depends on the time of day. 3 PM Eastern USA time things build up and then usually die down around 2-3 AM (sometimes later).

If you want to see something to boost your spirits, check out the 15,000 post count at QuakeOne.com, which has only been active since March 10 or visit Quake Expo ( http://www.quakeexpo.com ) and be sure to check out my booth, hehe ( http://www.quakeexpo.com/booth.php?id=108 )
