i used to be one of those quakers that started way back when dial up was around. i always had the 300+ ping and still i didnt do to badly now i do alot better with my 150+ ping

I think Ping is overrated to an extent. I'd like to try an experiment if any of you Top Quake Dogs are willing.

One of you guys play Quake on a 56k modem for 6 months. I'll bet after a month of adjustment you still whip most everyone's ass after getting adjusted.

at my dad's house, he has cable/dsl, and at my mom's, i got dial-up. for some reason, the game runs smoother at my mom's AND i play better at my mom's house too! wierd...

with proper instructions and experience you will get better.
just keep playing.

if you want to get coached by me lol pm me, we'll set up a time. but the deal is that you will have to play on the servers after that. you dont just dissapear lol. we need noobs, they carry the torch forward.
