Just some thoughts from one player:

I think the new map randomization or map rotation isn't as good as before, imho.

These maps are coming up all the time:

And while those maps are "ok" to play once a year, they aren't very fun .... sort of the "who's who of crappy maps".

As a result, the maps do get voted away, but almost always exclusively to this map:

Hehe, in the past I always lobbied to get "Termination Central" taken out of the map rotation but I'd take that map and Wind Tunnels over the above maps 24/7.

I figured this would make a good poll. Maybe I'm the only one that feels this way about the map rotation.

I think the map rotation is fine. If players dont like the maps they'll vote it. Generally the only reason it gets voted to start is because of a few certain players. Clayborn comes to mind. The minute he joins a server he votes the start map and continues to vote it until it gets changed. Playing the same maps over and over again gets very boring so with the new rotation Slot put in place at least different maps are played. Before it was always the same maps e4m3, e4m4, e4m5 for large games or for smaller games dm6, e1m1, e1m7, start

I used to dislike every map that Baker pictured, but after seeing them more and playing them more, I have come to appreciate them. Even though I used to hate it, now I think the Pain Maze is one of the most fun to play, as long as there are several players on.

If I could make any change, it would be to have some control over keeping maps from repeating -- the same map over and over gets old, (e.g. Start ad nauseum).
