In my area, SBC Amerilosers is offering DSL for either $29.99 per month or $34.99 per month or $49.99 per month. I hear their ads on the radio for $29.99 per month, and they send junk mailings to me offering it for $34.99 per month. Do they think people are stupid? It requires a one-year commitment. SBC sucks, I wouldn't get DSL from them if it was free.
My cable company, Wide Open West, is promoting Cable + Cable Internet for only $44.99 per month. I have their service, but I wasn't on the this great pricing plan until my post above.
Another cable company, Insight Communications, is offering RoadRunner for $44.99 per month (even though Time Warner advertises RoadRunner for much less than that on the radio, Insight isn't Time Warner, and they don't). So if you are already paying $35 for cable, cable + Internet for them would be $54.99 + $35 = 79.99 per month.
Hmmm, $44.99 with Wide Open West or $79.99 with Insight Communications.
Wide Open West is a very good company. I've been very happy with them and I consider myself lucky to be in their service area.
