The F11 Zoom_Key that is the default in Quake messes up your SENSITIVITY setting. Unless you are a keyboarder, you should never use F11.

Instead, if you want a zoom key ... use this bind:

Code:

ALIAS MY_SENSITIVITY "SENSITIVITY 15"  // Set the 15 to whatever you want
ALIAS MY_FOV "FOV 90" // Set the 90 to whatever you like, some ppl use 103 or 110

MY_FOV   // initializes your FOV
MY_SENSITIVITY // initializes your SENSITIVITY

// SNIPER VISION 2.0

echo " ... Sniper Vision 2.0"
// the following is a single line in your config
alias +snipe "fov 70.00 ;sensitivity 4.00 ;wait ;fov 58.00 ;sensitivity 3.25 ;wait ;fov 45.00 ;sensitivity 2.50 ;wait ;fov 32.00 ;sensitivity 1.74 ;wait ;fov 20.00 ;sensitivity 1.00"
// the following is ALSO a single line in your config
alias -snipe "fov 32.00 ;sensitivity 1.75 ;wait ;fov 45.00 ;sensitivity 2.50 ;wait ;fov 58.00 ;sensitivity 3.25 ;wait ;fov 70.00 ;sensitivity 4.00 ;wait ;my_fov ;my_sensitivity"

BIND F11 +snipe

I took an imperfect sniper bind and improved it long ago, finally last summer I perfected it. Doesn't mess up your FOV or SENSITIVITY.

Where do I include this code you posted to make it able to work?

You can put it in c:\quake\id1\autoexec.cfg (if it doesn't exist open up notepad and paste the above code in it and then save it there).
