 Post subject: fps problem

I have a regular 60 fps, even with some monsters on, but each time i pick an item, or i am being hit my fps drops a little.
But when i pick up many things at a time AND being hit u know it slows DOWN dramatically :(
I dont know what it's related to... any idea on how to remedy on this?

edit: i've found that turning off cl_bonusflash removes my fps drop when i pick up items. is there any similar thing to remove the "flash" when being hit ?
