When I set scr_sshot_type jpg it doesn't save as jpg when I do screenshots in GL. (It does TGA)

Is it supposed to?

Also: is there any particular reason that non-GL JoeQuake couldn't be made to save screenshots as PNG or JPG.

I only mention this because one thing that kicks ass about JoeQuake is that it can run even on non-Open GL computers (without most of the fancy graphics, of course) and it seems cruel to make those users HAVE to use PCX, which is quite an oddball file format.

Yeah, it would be cool if you added 8 bit PNG for those non-GL users. The problem with the PCX is that it is not widely supported like PNG is.

I loaded up (Win) JoeQuake.exe on an old Win 98 computer yesterday it's nice that JoeQuake can run on any computer, even if it has to be non-Open GL.

Some of the numerous features you have added make using JoeQuake great even if it isn't GL, like the crosshairs, the clock and even making AVIs according to whatsnew.txt.
