Just curious, along the lines of cross dressing in team mode, I think it'd be really cool to ...
Make a rune-quake setting that would force all players to have full-bright shirt colors like the IHOC quake.xoc.net:26666 server does.
[This doesn't have anything to do with the JoeQuake thing, I think that one feature should be unavailable during multiplayer. I was just thinking about the lack of parity in different players brightness settings, not so dissimilar to when Trojen accused me of cheating even after snapping a screenshot and emailing it to him that demonstrated without a doubt that I could easily see him even in the dark with GLQuake and the brightness settings I used with my video card. It wasn't like he stood out like a sore thumb, but I could certainly tell that dull gray figure in the black was a player.]
Point being, I know that with quake.exe, Trojen would have been absolutely undetectable. One way to eliminate that inequity that exists even among video cards (hence, IDGamma), would be to give server ops the option of full-bright shirts or maybe pants).
Just an idea, doesn't sound too hard, but I'm not a QuakeC developer so ...
