This is as close to Off-Topic as this forum has so I'm putting it in here even though its partly about Quake.

Spooker was asking if I had Half Life/CS and I remember I do have Blue Shift. So I installed it again and it keeps having on the Video setting screen the option to use a 3dfx Mini Driver. But when I go to run that setting it says my video card wont support that.(Pentium ONE w/ Dual Voodoo 1's) Now does that mean I can use the MiniGL driver I used for Quake on this game as well?

Is this the same program Toyo pointed me to to get Quake to run on my ancient Voodoo system?

Hey do you have BlueShift Spooker? Because I have that but I can't figure out how to get online with it. There is no option I can see to get online. However the manual talk about choosing different online games. Just can't seem to get to that point. I'll run it again and see what happens. Maybe I missed something.

Another thing is my AV keeps saying the CD setup program matches the definition of an IRC virus or something. Weird. I'd post a shot of it but there's no option to attach on this forum???

It would be nice if the PHPBB attachment mod ( http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=74505 ) were added to this forum. There may be other considerations like bandwidth or storage space that doesn't make this practical.

I do know implementing the attachment mod is a 2 hour job and isn't the most fun to do either (it's fairly complicated) and then getting the settings right takes a few more hours.

fuzzman, im not sure about blueshift. mine has an option to scan for servers but none come up, and there is no option to make a new multiplayer game, so i'm gonna say there is probably no multiplayer for blueshift. But as far as I know, BS is an addon for Halflife, and if you got BS then you must have HL (am I wrong?), and if so you can go online with HL.

Valve is really tricky with their games and this whole Steam business. It used to be if you owned HL you could download Counterstrike for free, so recently I bought HL only to find that I also now needed to buy CS, which is BS! But the steam thing (which I hate) did successfully get me to buy the game because it tracks cd keys centrally. Steam is a bitch man, gl working with it.

Spooker, the Half Life Expansion pack Blue Shift can stand alone which it does for me since its the only one of the pack I have got. It doesn't require the original HL to play it or CS.

I'll poke around some more.
