 Post subject: Changes I'd like to see at Shmack

Get rid of the Blizzard Rune.

Either reduce the number of ice traps allowed or remove the rune entirely. A similar rune, the Glue Gun, allows trapped players to pivot and shoot and therefore is less frustrating. :) Also, it's harder to strategically place the glue -- a plus in my opinion.

Make the chat spam much less aggressive so that it's triggered only for genuine spamming. Instead of kicking players, can chat be disabled for 10 seconds for the first offense and then 30 seconds after that? A system message to everyone could let players know why that particular player isn't responding. This allows players to continue playing while making it an unaccommodating environment for those who want to disrupt the game with chat spams.

I'm still working on that rune, which is why I haven't documented it. I think with some tweaking, it might be an acceptable rune or even weapon.

I've had a few complaints about this, so I'll reduce the number of ice traps by half.

How about making the Zen rune so you are invulernable when moving?

Hmmm, blizzard as a weapon ... interesting idea if it uses a ton of ammo.

Hey I noticed Tornados are the ALT-5 weapon, how many rox or what ammo does it take?

(Yeah, right now a lot of people are falling for the old Tornado, but once everyone gets used to it, you just cling to a wall with the hook. Great nifty weapon ... but I'm interested in the amount of ammo it uses 'cause I think it should use at least 20 rox else be too common.)

Btw, I love the changes to the server. I haven't run into the Blizzard rune except for once ... I do think it needs to be like curtailed in strength, but DEFINITELY a nice twist if it were a weapon that required a hefty price to use.

Yeah, Toyo is right about the chat spamming. I said Hi to Gohan and Hideo and then a couple other things and found myself disconnected.

Whoops, I forgot to take that out. The weapon is on ALT-2, but I was testing using ALT-5 at first. I'll upload the changes in a bit.

OK, the bomb is now back on ALT-5. Use ALT-2 for tornados. Currently, you need 35 rockets to summon a tornado.

I'm going to disable hook for players who are too close. :)

I'm still tweaking the new runes and weapons, which takes away time from adding more, but I'm slowly getting there.
