Rune Central

While there are certain locations for various functions of the the runes and weapons, it's not as simple as that. Your code changes depend on the sophistication of the rune itself, so while you might have its activation code called from a function like Rune_Button(), the actual changes can take places in many different files. This makes making a tutorial just for runes/weapons very difficult, as you would really be creating a tutorial on QuakeC itself. Probably the easiest way for someone interested in developing some runes is to fool around with the values of the current runes and make minor tweaks to see what is actually happening. Once you get an idea of how simple it is, you can examine other mods for elements of the mod you want to tweak as a rune. This is exactly how IEEE (Mr. Wifi) coded most of his runes. He removed pieces of code from other mods or current runes, tweaked the values, and pieced it together to get the desired effect.
